A clearer view of availability

01 · Ask the registry

Stolen Domain uses IANA’s directory to query the authoritative RDAP service, including Google Registry for .app and .dev. It shows registration status, registrar, and dates where published.

02 · Confirm with Namecheap

With configured credentials, Stolen Domain checks Namecheap too. “Available” means its production API reported availability. A missing RDAP record alone is labeled “No registry record”: a domain can still be reserved or unavailable.

03 · Keep an eye on it

Free accounts with an approved tweet mentioning @mystolendomain are checked every 7 days. Paid accounts are checked every 24 hours; manual refresh cannot shorten that interval. Pending delete and redemption states appear in “Dropping.” Expiration is not a guaranteed drop date, and availability can change before checkout.

In sandbox mode, Namecheap results are test data and never mark a domain as available in production.
